i agree, this is such an eye-opening documentary! i am a huge fan of community supported agriculture, a few summers ago we bought a share of a local farm's crops for the summer, cool experience- were exposed to lots of new veggies. especially in the tri-state area, more and more farms (where you can purchase halal meat) are popping up that are doing hormone-free, grass-fed, which is great! regarding organic fruits and veggies- there is a list out there known as 'the dirty dozen' that should be bought organic due to the amount of pesticides leaked in, strawberries being one of the top fruits. here's the link if you don't have it already: http://www.cnn.com/2010/HEALTH/06/01/dirty.dozen.produce.pesticide/index.html?hpt=C1

So, afsheen sent me a link today to your website. Firstly i LOVE the idea. Since I'm the biggest biryani fan, I'll def be trying the hyderabadi biryani:)

Speaking of this documentary, I saw it around a month and a half ago on netflix, and honestly i was GROSSED out. It really is an eye opener, and I haven't had any fast food since the day i saw it, and neither do i plan on having it for a veryyy long time. Everytime i pass by a fast food place now, I just think of how there is cow manure too in their meat. YUCK! lol.

And since that day, for the first time in my life, I have started eating fruits and vegetables on a daily basis, and therefore Saleem ( the meat-eater) is forced to eat healthy too. hehe

thought id share this with you .... Good Luck with your website babe and keep the good recipes rolling:)
